Tea Reviews:
Twinings - Earl Grey

Oh, wow.  Why couldn't this have been the first Earl Grey I tried?
Instead, it was the third.  And I actually put off tasting it for quite a while, because of less than stellar experiences with the previous two.

I'm so happy with this tea.  It has a much subtler bergamot flavor than the others, which I definitely prefer.  The others were so strong as to be bitter, and required a large amount of milk to render then drinkable.  This one, I was able to drink black!

The flavor of the tea, combined with the nice citrusy taste of the bergamot, is just wonderful.  And no nasty aftertaste!  (Another problem with some of the others.)  This is now my standard for Earl Grey teas.  All others will be compared to this one.

My inner Trekkie is also rather pleased; I've always wanted to be able to drink Capt. Picard's favorite tea.  I was disappointed by how 'meh' I was about the others I'd tried; I was afraid I just didn't like Earl Grey.  But, thankfully, Twinings has proved me wrong!

In short:  After one cup of this, I ran out and bought a whole box.  I have the feeling that this is going to be a permanent addition to my tea stash.
