Tea Reviews:
Tazo - Awake

This is one of those teas that I changed my mind about.  The first time I ever tried it, I didn't like it.  At all.  In hindsight, I realize this was because I only tried it black.  (Being a long time fruit herbal tea drinker, adding milk to tea didn't really occur to me until I started drinking more black teas.  This was before that, so it never occurred to me to try it.)

Fast forward a few years, and Starbucks introduces their new tea lattes, one of which is a simple black tea latte.  When I tried it and liked it, imagine my surprise when I saw that it was made with Awake.  So, milk was all that was needed to turn this tea into one that I liked.

I've since ordered it as is, as well, so I could add the milk and sugar myself.  It seems a fairly typical breakfast type tea; nice and strong.

I like this tea.  I don't care for it black, but add some milk and sugar and I'm a happy camper.  And it has the bonus of being widely available at Starbucks stores, so if you're out and about and want tea, you'll probably be able to find it.  I will say that it's not my favorite breakfast tea (so far, that's Twinings' Irish Breakfast), but it's rather nice all the same.

In short:  Nice black tea.  I take it with milk and sugar, and it's tasty.
